14 Classrooms and Still Building!
Over the last year and a half, SchoolBOX has built 14 classrooms for five schools in Nicaragua, Central America. These classrooms provide scholastic homes for hundreds of students and their teachers. Here is a quick overview and picture of each school.

SchoolBOX Quick Facts:
- SchoolBOX spent 12% of revenue on administration in 2008.
- Adventura Nica, an amazing group of dedicated youth from St. Paul's Anglican Church in Almonte, Ontario, is preparing to build two classrooms in March of 2010 for a school in Nicaragua.
- SchoolBOX's AYES (Aboriginal Youth Empowering Students) program brings together aboriginal youth from across Canada to build schools for impoverished children in Central America.
- More than 50% of children in Nicaragua do not finish Grade 5.
- SchoolBOX has increased the number of children that is serves in Central America by almost 100% in the last year.
- In 2006, SchoolBOX began with the simple gift of a notebook and a pencil to a young girl in Northern Nicaragua.
- Harvey Griggs, a well respected Toronto-based entrepreneur and philanthropist, has recently joined SchoolBOX's Board of Directors.
- SchoolBOX is a Registered Canadian Charity.
Give the Gift of Education
Every donation to SchoolBOX, no matter how big or small, makes a difference in the lives of children in Central America. Your contributions will provide school supplies, sports equipment, dental hygiene, and infrastructure - making the future bright for thousands of students.
$5 equips one student with a package containing 4 notebooks, pencils, a ruler, a pencil sharpener, and an eraser.
$10 provides a bin to the Nicaraguan Ministry of Education that is used to store balanced cooked meals provided everyday to the students.
$20 equips one teacher with a package containing planning notebooks, acrylic and permanent markers, pencils, chalk scissors, paper, and glue.
$22 provides a well-constructed new desk and chair for a student.
$35 dollars provides a school with a reliable water dispenser for drinking and washing hands.
$60 gives a teacher in Nicaragua a desk, a simple requirement that many teachers lack.
$1000 gives a school in Central America a bathroom.
$10,000 helps build a library for the Jezreel School, which will not only provide the gift of reading, but will also provide a safe gathering place for students, teachers, and adult learners.
